Grab a picnic, some friends, family and most importantly the teddy bears, roll out a rug and enjoy a wonderful family day out amongst the lush backdrop of Rippon Lea House & Gardens for the annual Teddy Bears Picnic.
Enjoy fairground attractions, face painting, craft activities, market stalls and an array of activities throughout the day. Food trucks will be serving delicious savoury and sweet options, or order your picnic hamper in advance.
The highlight of the day will be a live reading of Elm & Willow’s Adventures at Rippon Lea: Teddy Bears’ Picnic. This delightful children’s book tells the story of best bear friends Elm & Willow as they set out one morning to explore the grounds of Rippon Lea and along the way meet some helpful – and not so helpful – animal accomplices.
Copies of the book can be purchased with your ticket, and author Matt Chester will be signing copies on the day.
Proceeds from the day support the National Trust and its efforts in preserving Victoria’s heritage.
SPECIAL OFFER: Sign-up as National Trust Member online or on the day to receive free entry to Teddy Bears’ Picnic, as well as free entry to all of our properties for 12 months. Plus, you’ll receive a free copy of Elm & Willow’s Adventures at Rippon Lea: Teddy Bears’ Picnic. Memberships are available for Individuals or Households (2 Adults, 4 Children).
