An indulgent afternoon at Rippon Lea will suit you even if you don’t have a sweet tooth!

In conjunction with our High Tea afternoon tea bookings, we are also providing a ‘High Cheese’ option: switch out the cakes for a decadent three-tiered selection of Victorian cheeses, savoury bites, and scones.

Set amidst the lush gardens and elegance of the Rippon Lea Estate historic mansion, dine by the pool or in the ballroom before exploring the impressive grounds.

Whether you’re a connoisseur of fine dairy or simply looking for a unique and memorable outing, this event promises to tantalise your taste buds while offering a relaxing escape in one of the city’s most beautiful heritage settings.

Cheese Selection

Enjoy a curated selection of Victorian cheeses, including:

– Milawa Ashed Chèvre (goat)

– Berry’s Creek Brie

– Glen Moidart Gouda

– Warrnambool Farmhouse Cheddar

Accompanied by olive baguette, sourdough croute, lavosh, and focaccia.

Savoury Delights

– Baked brie and raspberry tart, thyme salt (NF, GF, V)

– Yarra Valley feta tart, basil pesto, tomato dust (GF, V)

– Goat cheese and pecorino souffle, rosemary, tomato relish (NF, V)

Sweet Treats

– Baked vanilla cheesecake, balsamic, strawberry compote (NF, V)

– Chocolate mascarpone cannoli, orange praline (V, NF)

Scones

– Finish with dry-aged cheddar scones, served with parmesan curd, fig chutney, and quince paste.

Beverages

– Choose from a glass of Barone Ricasoli Chianti Classico or Josef Chromy Sparkling Rosé NV. To end the afternoon, enjoy a glass of Penfolds Fortified Father 10 Year old Tawny dessert wine.
