A smart phone app called C My Trees has been developed and allows us to share information and data about Rippon Lea’s great collection of trees. The C My Trees app allows you to explore and identify 200 specimens and search specially curated lists.
The app also quantifies the amount of carbon sequestration in the tree and how much common energy use, such as petrol, electricity and gas, the tree is offsetting. This is tracked over time and measures the carbon storage of both individual specimens and the treescape as a whole. Hopefully, this will inspire a better understanding of the value of trees at Rippon Lea, why they matter, and why they need our support.
Search for CMyTrees via the App Store for Apple devices and on Google Play for Android devices. The app is available for free with unlimited downloads.
After downloading, scan the Rippon Lea QR site code located at the gatehouse and start exploring!
