Recognised as a leading biodiversity hotspot within the City of Glen Eira, Rippon Lea Estate is a haven for birds and other wildlife.
Join one of our guided birdwatching walks to learn more about our feathered residents and gain inspiration for your winning shot. The competition is free to enter, and the winner will receive a $500 voucher for Michael’s Camera Hire.

How to Enter
Competition opens: 1 March 2025
Entries close: Midnight, 30 April 2025
Simply submit your best bird photograph taken at Rippon Lea Estate within the last six months for a chance to win.
Voting and Winner Announcement
From the entries received, nine finalists will be selected for a People’s Choice vote. The winner will be announced at Rippon Lea Estate’s Botanica Festival on 18 May 2025.

Entry Requirements
– Photos must be taken inside Rippon Lea Estate within the last six months
– Images must be captured using a digital camera or smartphone
– No AI-generated or artificially altered images allowed
– One entry per person (multiple submissions will not be considered)
