Grand Victorian Picnic

Rippon Lea Estate is recognised as one of the best preserved Victorian pleasure gardens in the world. Immerse yourself in the Victorian era whilst picnicking on the beautiful sweeping lawns of the Estate.

As part of the Australian Heritage Festival, enjoy demonstrations of Victorian leisure and sporting activities, Victoria Sponge cake sales, tours of the garden, focusing on the Victorian fernery, homemade Mrs Beeton’s lemonade tastings, children’s games and much more.

Visitors are encouraged to dress in their finest Victorian picnic wear, or simply relax and enjoy the sights.
